More Office Storage

After finishing the desk and liking it so much I wanted to have a matching dresser in the office for extra storage. I found this cute little maple dresser on Craig's List and refinished it to match the desk.

A Desk Transformed

I picked up this old teacher's style desk on Craig's List. It was oak veneer, very sturdy and heavy with lots of space for all my office stuff! I stripped it, stained the top and painted the bottom black. The new satin nickel hardware, to replace the old wooden handles, makes the desk rival anything I have seen in the Pottery Barn catalog for just a fraction of the cost. I LOVE IT!!!

Emmy's New Coffee and Side Tables

Emmy bought unfinished tables and asked me to finish them for her. We stained the tops and drawers and used whitewash on the bottoms. We then distressed the bottoms and used some stain to antique them.

As usual I forgot to take before pictures. Here are the tables with the whitewash on the bottoms.

I love the crystal knobs Emmy added!

Dresser - Before and After!

I found this old maple dresser in my father-in-laws basement and thought it had some real potential!
It was a mess but after lots of stripping, sanding staining, painting, distressing and antiquing I live it!

Finished!!

It's new home - at least for now!

My First Sale!

This was an old drop leaf table that my in-laws gave us when we bought our first house with a dining room. It had a large crack in the wood and the veneer was old and dry. I decided to prime and paint it white with brown antiquing. I didn't need the table so I posted it on Craig's List and sold it in one day!

Bedroom Bench

I made this bench for my bedroom and upholstered it myself!
It isn't perfect but it was a good first try at building something.

I love the fabric!
