Emmy bought unfinished tables and asked me to finish them for her. We stained the tops and drawers and used whitewash on the bottoms. We then distressed the bottoms and used some stain to antique them.
As usual I forgot to take before pictures. Here are the tables with the whitewash on the bottoms. '
I found this old maple dresser in my father-in-laws basement and thought it had some real potential!
It was a mess but after lots of stripping, sanding staining, painting, distressing and antiquing I live it!
This was an old drop leaf table that my in-laws gave us when we bought our first house with a dining room. It had a large crack in the wood and the veneer was old and dry. I decided to prime and paint it white with brown antiquing. I didn't need the table so I posted it on Craig's List and sold it in one day!
We have had this blanket chest for about 20 years - it's been through three kids and a few dogs! It was time for a face lift. I stripped and stained the top, painted the bottom black, distressed it and finished it all with a few coats of Polycrylic by Minwax. It looks almost new again!
